Check out this amazing TED Talk from Steven Johnson. It’s totally worth the 18 minutes to watch. He covers environmental spaces and the patterns that encourage innovation. I found this extremely relevant since we here at Hot are currently evolving as a company (culturally, project types, physical size) and we are continually looking into ways to continue and improve how we encourage good ideas… so we may be able to learn and evaluate what we may be doing are right and I dare say, wrong.

Anyway, if this is at all interesting to you, he has a book out, which was being promoted by an equally amazing video… by the end, you should all be inspired to get up on a whiteboard and start sketching some ideas.
