Viator Targets Travelers with an App for Adventure

Hot Studio proudly announces the launch of the Viator iPad travel app. One part guide book to little-known travel experiences, one part powerful sales tool, this first-of-its-kind app features Viator’s worldwide travel excursions through a stellar touch experience and social interaction.

“With the tens of millions of iPad users worldwide, the tablet presents critical new branding building opportunities,” explains Chris Jones, Principal of Strategy & Engineering at Hot. “So we set out to create more tactile ways for travelers to interact with Viator content and engage with their products.”

Released on May 17, 2011, the app combines multiple content channels, user-generated comments, and travel photos like never before. “Our challenge was to provide value to users in the digital format that doesn’t mirror the transactional website,” Chris continues. “What we created was an entirely unique 3D brand experience unlike any other app in the competitive space.”
