Viscape is an online community where people can find, buy, sell, and rent vacation property. Hot Studio worked closely with Viscape to create a state-of-the-art site that allows vacationers to find the perfect vacation property within minutes. We were then asked to create their logomark.

The essence of adventure and the seasons
A goal of the new website was to transmit the excitement of outdoor adventures and seasonal activities. The identity needed to be fresh and encapsulate the spirit of a community brought together by Viscape’s alluring destinations.

Coming up with the right character
The Viscape logomark is based on a character that is fun-loving and adventurous. Our creative directors, Henrik Olsen and Laura Haertling, came up with a miniature identity that communicates an entire brand and its personality.

Dynamic where the competition’s logo is static
The logomark bears the excitement of travel and stands in contrast to that of Viscape’s competitors. We designed a witty, dynamic character that evolves with each season: sailing in summer and skiing in winter, surfing in spring and biking in fall. Summer is reflected in warm colors while winter is evoked through cooler tones. The colors and illustrative backgrounds behind the character change with the seasons as well, to show activity, newness, and fun.
